Ok guys, this is the big one, the pack which will bring David Hunter up to it's more unique plateau.
And, we need YOUR opinion, it's the players that count, so we want to see every David Hunter in on this action, as well as random others who may be sort of interested!
Here's stuff that you'll be voting for by category. Read each category and simply list the number of required entries from each catagory that you want to see in the David Hunter Character Pack!
SECTION ONE: NEW WEAPONS
Only six entries from the following list may be chosen.
Certain entries have additional veto power for or against them, so some weapons may need less voting or more voting to get them ingame!
[glow=red,2,300]Blaster[/glow]
The Blaster is a highly efficient energy based weapon. It fires a shirt ‘bolt’ similar to that found with the plasma cannon, however the energy is more focused and reliable, resulting in a faster travelling, more accurate projectile that can deal tremendous damage at short range.
The Blaster is ideal for short range encounters where the projectile speed may overcome the accuracy of the weapon. Although it has a lower rate of fire than many weapons it’s deadly strength makes up for it’s weaknesses.
[glow=red,2,300]Chaingun[/glow]
The Chaingun takes the same ammunition as the standard David Hunter issue Assault Rifle. This hefty weapon however is capable of dosing out the same shells at almost 10 times the speed, annihilating enemies in its path with a solid wall of lead.
The Chaingun is an extremely useful support weapon that can be used to suppress enemies for short periods of time, allowing team mates to advance faster and with fewer casualties.
[glow=red,2,300]Combat Laser[/glow]
The Combat Laser is deadly in the hands of an experienced David Hunter. It has practically infinite reach and impeccable accuracy that can easily be abused. It can’t deal very well with armoured targets, but can easily burn unprotected flesh.
The Combat Laser is best used in short, sweet bursts of fire that can tear through a single opponent with each shot. It uses ammunition very quickly, so be very wary with accuracy.
[glow=red,2,300]Fusion Gun[/glow]
The Fusion Gun is an excellent anti-armour weapon. It’s brief yet powerful blasts are powerful enough to completely negate armour. It can kill almost instantly. However it has a habit of rapidly diminishing its ammunition stockpiles, and tends to be inaccurate over distances.
The Fusion Gun is an excellent support weapon when combining fire. Backed up by some serious blast weapons and chain gunners, a fusion gunner can easily out gun any opponent with a high armour rating and increase a team’s chances of success.
[glow=red,2,300]Nailgun[/glow]
The Nailgun fires a cloud of 9 inch nails in the general direction it is facing. Anything that gets in the way is quite brutally impaled by the sharp flying metal projectiles, which can penetrate all but the most resilient of armour.
The Nailgun is excellent in cramped fighting conditions, where it can literally fill the corridor with deadly shrapnel. What it loses in accuracy it makes up for in deadliness. It’s also an excellent weapon where the enemy may be concentrated over small areas.
[glow=red,2,300]Plasma Buckshot[/glow]
Considered to be akin to the modern shotgun, and hence the name, the Plasma Buckshot releases a temporal discharge of pure energy over a short distance. The energy is so incredibly focused that it can deal tremendous damage to armoured and unarmoured opponents alike. Its short range can often render it useless however as it is incapable of dealing any form of truly ranged damage. At short ranges, due to extreme focus of energy, the Plasma Buckshot projectile can be bounced off of walls to catch unwary opponents off guard.
The Plasma Buckshot is probably better used in conjunction with a ranged weapon to offer mutual support. Its short rangedness can often be a problem, but in crowd situations, this is the winner.
[glow=red,2,300]Pulse Rifle[/glow]
The Pulse Rifle is an incredibly versatile weapon. It has a superb accuracy over very long distances, and the devastating energy pulse it releases can travel through many fleshy targets before finally being stopped. The energy pulse travels at the speed of light, and there is a unique intense kinetic discharge when the weapon finally strikes something. This discharge will throw, but not harm objects through the air just like an explosion would. It also requires no ammunition, as it recharges between shots.
The Pulse Rifle is good at range, and can be utilised in hard to get to locations as a sniper tool, as it doesn’t need any ammunition. It can also be used to get to hard to reach positions using the fabled ‘Pulse Jump’ technique
[glow=red,2,300]Railgun[/glow]
Railguns are surprisingly similar to the Very Big Pistol. However, these large weapons are also capable of killing in a single shot. Railguns are one use only tools, and cannot use any form of ammunition other than that supplied with the weapon. The slug launched from the barrel is capable of ultra-sonic flight, and can travel at speeds in excess of Mach 10.
The Railgun isn’t useful as a sniper tool due to its limited use, however the projectile can travel through walls, so for that important shot that counts, it can prove to be a worthy accessory to your personal armoury.
[glow=red,2,300]Hawk MkIII: The Incredible Bulk[/glow]
The successor the Hawk MkII DBG, the Hawk MKIII is known as ‘The Incredible Bulk’. It is an obscenely cumbersome piece of equipment weighing in at over eighty kilograms. It was due to this reason that the MkIII Incredible Bulk was never taken into service.
However a great many of these weapons have found their way into the hands of miscreants and clones alike, so they are commonplace on the battlefield. The MkIII launches a cloud of missiles that eject a great many explosives on delivery. These explosives will then detonate with a startling nuclear payload that will utterly crush anyone foolish enough to get in the way!
The Incredible Bulk is better deployed as a base clearance technique. The blast alone can kill everything within an enormous radius, leaving the flag open for the taking. Be careful to use this weapon at an appropriate time, and watch out for team mates in your vicinity!
