So, wich armies do you guys use? For 40k, i play with Tyranids (it's not fun to paint all thouse gunts ) For WH, i've just started with Lizardmen (aw no, not more tons-of-the-same-unit to paint) but i've been thinking about changeing to Orks instead (uh-oh... another "swarm-army" to paint ). But i'll probally will start out with a small Lizardmen army and then a small Ork army and add more units later. I guess i like swarms... even if it takes like years to finish them ^^;

I've quite a few armies, but the ones that count are my previous Eldar army which featured heavily in last summers Eye of Terror campaign - all 8000 points of it including my two titans However, my current project is my 'Venerators of Osiron' Space Marines - a heavily converted army indeed that's being constructed purely for the tournament in February. What's worse is it's only half-way painted (gulp). I have quite a large 40k article regarding my VoO, but there's a massive amount of stuff here at ambershee's. Feel free to poke around and give suggestions! As for fantasy, I used to have a Wood Elf army, but it was rather dull to play with. I intend to move to a Tzeentch only daemon host. An entire army of S5 T5 level 4 wizards. Eat my dispel dice. The only flaw with the list is that it's just plain not possible to field a 500 point army

eight thousand points equated to the following; Two Farseers Six Warlocks Harlequin Seer Harlequin Solitaire Harlequin Death-Jester 3x5 Pathfinders 3x5 Swooping Hawks w/ Exarch 3x5 Wraithguard in Wave Serpents w/Spiritseers 1x6 Warp Spiders w/Exarch 3x3 Vypers with Scatter Lasers 3x3 War Walkers with Scatter Lasers 3 Wraithlords with Bright Lances 8x3 Rangers Fire Prism Night Spinner Heavy Grav-Tank (Falcon Chassis, Support Weapons) Towering Knight Destroyer Titan Revenant Titan Nightwing Attack Flyer that's about it I believe. I've no real aspect warrior units or guardian units as I believe my Iyanden army (which uses both Iyanden and Alaitoc lists) shouldn't have the manpower to do so

Trust me it is ;D It's also a pregnant dog to face in combat, but that has a lot to do with the downright jamminess of the general . I have a Guard army in the works, 2000 points of Templars that I'm looking to sell cheaply And a 40k in 40 minutes Eldar force. I also have a large IN Fleet for gothic and some Shadow Elves for Mordheim that still put the fear of god into some American players that I continually cane.

That reminds me - I also have my wonderful Eldar and Necron BFG fleets. My Eldar one is so yellow it practically glows in the day it makes every other fleet looks so dull by comparison. I love it - gotta learn to actually play with the d**n thing mind! ;D

I just got started in Warhammer 40k last week and I have a small space marine army, but I want to know what the necrons are like. Are they good in close combat or do they move fast, Anyone know what there like?

*smack* - look at the codex, mere mortal Necrons are very similar to space marines - T4, high leadership 3+ save, S4 AP5 R24 rapid fire weapons - just with a few REALLY irritating rules like they just don't die when they should do (they keep getting up) and that EVERY weapon in their army has the ability to glance ANY armour value (yikes - armoured coy). There are very few vehicles, just the 250 point monolith which is pretty much teh nutsz0r. Other than that there are only three unit types which can move more than 12 inches in a single turn - scarabs (swarmy little guys S3, T3, W3, no wounds), Destroyers - big ass assault weapon, jump pack movement and Wraiths which can move thru terrain and have an evil invulnerable save Thats it in general.
